Paper II – Civil LAW – 100 Marks – 60 Minutes

  • Indian Contract Act
  • Hindu Law
  • Indian Limitation Act
  • Transfer of Property Act
  • H.P. Urban Rent Control Act*

 

Paper III – Criminal LAW – 100 Marks – 60 Minutes

  • Indian Penal Code
  • Criminal Procedure Code
  • Chapter — XVII (sections 138 to 143) of the Negotiable Instruments Act
  • H.P. Excise Act-2011*
  • Wild Life Protection Act*
  • Indian Forest Act.*

 
Each paper shall be of one-hour duration and the examination in all the three papers shall be held on the same day.

  • Essay in Hindi on any topic – 50 Marks
  • Composition (Idioms and Corrections etc.) – 20 Marks

 

Himachal Pradesh Judiciary Interview – 150 Marks

 

The interview is conducted in English and covers all topics in the subject. This round also reviews the personal qualities of the candidates. It assesses their intelligence, alertness, and general viewpoint on matters.

Marks obtained in the viva-voce will be added to the marks obtained in the Main Examination and the candidate’s rank will depend on the aggregate of both.
